What it is
Forage describes itself as “a travel agency for bears.” A member describes a trip, and the service helps plan it — flights, lodging, food, nightlife and local transport — with people and AI working together.
- Specialists across events, flights, food, nightlife and transport.
- Group trips, each with its own plan and discussion threads; members can vote (including from WhatsApp).
- A trip planner covering flights, lodging, food, daily schedule and a booking checklist.
- Upcoming events are pulled from the Bearings commons and can be viewed without an account.
- Access is invite-only for now; prices are shown as estimates and affiliate links are disclosed.
The approach
Forage is a product experiment in AI-assisted and no-code development — a way to explore how far a useful, human-in-the-loop service can be built without a conventional engineering team. AI assists the planning; specialists keep judgement in the loop.
