I’m Adam Frey, P.Eng. — a multidisciplinary engineer, systems thinker and digital product creator, and the person behind Chez Frey.
What I bring
My distinctive capability is moving from an abstract organizational problem to a functioning digital solution: understanding the people and the process, mapping the information flows, finding the friction, designing a better future state, choosing appropriate technology, and building it.
- Energy engineering degree; philosophy degree with a computer-science minor.
- Professional engineering experience in energy consulting, building-energy modelling, sustainability and renewables.
- Business-process and organizational-systems design.
- Extensive hands-on application building with Bubble; WordPress and managed platforms.
- Designing and implementing complete digital services with AI-assisted tools — without a conventional development team.
How I think about the work
Human-centred
The people doing the work come first. Technology serves them, not the other way around.
Simplify first
Fix and simplify the process before automating anything. Never automate a broken one.
AI only when it helps
AI goes where it genuinely improves the service — with human judgement kept in the loop.
A note on the P.Eng.
I’m a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), and I bring that rigour to how I analyse systems and processes. Chez Frey provides digital systems and service design — it does not offer regulated professional engineering services. The P.Eng. is a credential and a way of thinking, not the service on offer.
